Ant Clark TAttoos
I’ve been drawing my entire life, but about 10 years ago I finally picked up a tattoo machine and immediately fell in love with it. I found it to be challenging, intriguing and knew it was something I could and did become passionate about.
Although I enjoy tattooing different varieties of tattoos, I’ve been enjoying working with a black and grey realism-esque style with a neotraditional twist. I’d also like to do more statues, divine entities, Greek morphology, women’s faces, animal portraits, surrealism, filigrees, ornamental designs, and Japanese style flowers. These themes will have my personal twist which typically involves exaggerated details and features that contour to the body with high contrast negative space. However, it’s all about the experience, and I really like customers that can trust my process and skill set to bring their ideas to life.
What drew me into tattooing is the intricacy or difficulty and how much there is to learn. I think that’s why my love for it will never stop growing. You can never beat tattooing: the better you get, the harder it gets. The more you learn, the more you want to learn. And the more you improve, the more you expect from yourself. I’m always my biggest critic, and I’m constantly looking for challenges where I can push to improve my technique. But just like everything I love to do, the challenges or hurdles I work to overcome are easily endured when it is something I am so passionate about doing.
Looking forward to working with you on your next piece of art.
